Only in Bucks County: Small Towns, Big Parades

Happy New Year Everybody!

Considering that I haven't posted since Halloween, I wanted to share some of the photos I took at both the 2015 Newtown and Bristol Borough Holiday Parades during the festive time that led up to the holidays this year. They were both so entertaining! I'd say they're the two best of all the yearly parades that the small towns in Bucks County have to offer.

As fun as those photos were, I've realized recently that I really like shooting in the photojournalistic style:

A memory I'll keep in my heart was seeing the love this woman had for her senior dog.

So save the dates and bring your family out next year to cheer on fire engines and floats, marching bands and local clubs, a jeep brigade, a line of quads, and many of your friends and neighbors!

The Annual Newtown Parade has been set for Sunday, December 4th at 2:00 pm
and Bristol Borough's is usually the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Only in Bucks: Newtown's Holiday Parade

This year was the first year I was not asked to photograph the Annual Newtown Holiday Parade for Newtown Patch or another local publication. It's a pretty big deal, and definitely the largest holiday parade in all of Bucks County.

I was supposed to volunteer during the Parade today, but something at my full-time job came up and prevented me from going. I looked through last year's photos just now, and I feel like I was there in spirit!

I really hope to make it next year. Just to see that guy do his job again.
Until then ...
